Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The Bay Area Renaissance Festival is pleased to announce the arrival of exciting new events and activities for 2014. There is something new for everyone! So gather up your friends and family and bring them down to the Festival.
The Festival now has 50 Free Children’s Activities that adults and kids can enjoy together. Stop by the Magical Fairy Forest. Walk along the paths filled with fanciful fairy houses. Keep your eyes open as you might just meet a fairy or two. Down in the Children’s Realm families can find; kid’s crafts, costume contests, games and a children’s knighting ceremony. Be sure to experience the infamous and ominous Throne of Swords!
The Renaissance Festival would like to express appreciation to all military service members for their dedication to our country. Every day, show your military ID or papers at the Festival box office and save $5. Thank you to all the men and women who sacrifice so much for our country.
Festival Friday has been a popular tradition at the Festival for over thirty years. April 4th is the only weekday the Festival is open. Grab your friends and enjoy a day of shopping and wine! Your Ladies Shopping Day discount ticket includes festival admission, a glass of wine, and a coupon book with amazing discounts from Festival artisans. Tickets are only $15 per person and can be purchased online. This Friday will also feature the only after-hours event, The Masque Ball. This enchanted event includes a three course meal, Champagne and entertainment.
The Festival is excited to introduce a new daily event called “Pig & Swig” — a Beer and Bacon tasting. Pirate Captain Aleister Blake has assembled the finest beers and bacons from his adventures on the high seas for you to sample! Enjoy four beers and four different types of bacon in this guided tasting event that is sure to have you squealing with delight! Tickets are $15 per person (this is a 21+ and over event).
Make your visit to the Festival one of your best dates ever with the Renaissance Romance Package. Enjoy a private one-hour rendezvous with your significant other in a magical garden setting while sipping on Champagne and nibbling on gourmet snacks. The packages includes two admission tickets into the Festival, a private server, food, a bottle of Champagne, and two keepsake Champagne flutes. Tickets can be purchased online to reserve a spot and cost $69.95
All archers are invited to participate in the State Royal Archery Championships in Piper’s Valley each day during the Wonders of the World weekend. This year the competition will be hosted by the Tampa Archery School. The archers will test their skills with in classic categories; Olympic Recurve, Modern Longbow, Genesis Compound, Traditional Recurve, and Traditional Longbow. The participation fee is $15 per person and includes a free admission ticket, walk up registrations are welcome! Great prizes will be given to the top competitors in each category!
The Bay Area Renaissance Festival is a first-class experience and adventure. Our 36th season began on February 22 and ends on April 6, 2014. The Festival is open weekends, with a special day for schools and seniors on Festival Friday, April 4, 2014. The Festival is open from 10 a.m. —6 p.m. rain or shine.
